Information for Year 8 students

Course selection for 2024. 

Year 8 students will choose 1 option for Year 9. These are full-year courses.

• French
• Te Reo Māori

All Year 9 students study the following courses for 1 term each, on a rotation 

• Art
• Creative Technology
• Digit Technology
• Food Technology
• Music

For Year 9 students the following courses are compulsory

• Religious Education
• English
• Digital Technology
• Mathematics
• Health and Physical Education
• Science 
• Social Studies 
• Tikanga Māori

A course in a STEM (Science, Technology, Mathematics) subject is highly recommended.
